FYS Class:

Class of: 2028

Major/Minor: Elementary Education/Special Education 4+1

Resident/Commuter: Commuter

Favorite Class: My favorite class would have to probably be my FYS last semester. My professor was great and the class was so much fun. We talked a lot about social media and all the ways it affect society which I found very interesting.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus would be floor 2 in ASB because it is such a chill place to take a second after class and do my work. I can listen to music and just zone out for however long I want to on the couches.

Clubs/organizations: I have just joined a sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, where we have many fundraisers to support the philanthropies we have, and events to have fun and spend time together. I love hanging out with them all and I’m overall so happy to have become so close with such an amazing group of girls! I have also just been accepted to be an orientation leader which I believe is a great way to represent my personality. Being able to help and give as much guidance to new students is something I’m really excited and will enjoy being able to do!!

Future Plans: My future plans are to do the 4+1 program and graduate with my masters degree. Not long after I plan to start looking for a job with my special education degree and be able to teach kindergarten or be in a special education class.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “Everything happens for a reason, so just let it

Advice for First-Year Students: Although coming to a brand new school and being put in a new environment may seem intimidating, try to get as involved as you can! Don’t be afraid to ask questions because there are definitely people around you that might have the same one, and try your hardest to stay on top of your work and academics overall. It may seem overwhelming at first, but everything will work out!! :)
