FYS Class:

Class of: 2027

Major/Minor: International Studies Major with minors in East Asian Studies and Anthropology

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class so far has to be my Intro to Antrhopology course. Professor Doerr is very nice and really energetic about the topic. The course readings, such as The Gebusi by Bruce M Knauft, are also very interesting. A runner up would be a Japanese pop culture class I took while on my exchange program during the Fall 2024 semester.

Favorite Place on Campus: I really like the red chairs above Dunkin in the Adler Center. It’s a nice place to rest with a coffee and a light assignment. The view of the mountains from the window are a nice break as well.

Clubs/organizations: I’m a Global Roadrunner, one of the photographers for the Ramapo Hockey team, and a photo editor for the Ramapo News. I love traveling and exploring new places so studying abroad and being able to live in another country was such a treat. I’ve also been surrounded by photography all my life so being able contribute to the Newspaper and being able to build up my skills and learn more about photography through working for the hockey team is really fun.

Future Plans: I plan on studying abroad again, I’m currently looking into options I can apply for. My dream job is to work for a company, such as National Geographic, and be sent abroad to take photos.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “Just do it” – Nike

Advice for First-Year Students: Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Sometimes the best memories come from those experiences.
