TIME recognizes Ramapo College as one of only 500 four-year colleges and universities nationwide on its inaugural America’s Best Colleges list

Ramapo College of New Jersey has been named among TIME’s America’s Best Colleges 2026–2027, ranking among one of only 500 colleges and universities recognized by the publication. Ramapo also ranks #5 among New Jersey public colleges included in the ranking.

Developed by TIME and Statista, the inaugural ranking evaluates colleges based on student outcomes, learning environment and attractiveness, with student outcomes accounting for 75% of the overall methodology. The assessment considers factors including graduation rates, graduates’ earnings and the return students receive on their educational investment, along with the environment in which students learn and factors related to student demand.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to student success through an education that combines academic excellence, personalized attention, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom. We are preparing students not simply to earn a degree, but to thrive as empathetic problem solvers, ethical change agents, and responsible leaders,” said Ramapo College President Cindy Jebb, PhD.
