Ramapo College Foundation Holds 40th Annual Distinguished Citizens Gala

April 28, 2023

The Ramapo College Foundation honored four individuals for their professional achievement, commitment and community service on Friday, April 14, at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, New Jersey.

The 2023 distinguished honorees include Harold V. Bolton III ’10, Drs. Douglas and Jean Weng, and Ramapo College’s community partner honoree Deborah Visconi. The profiles of the honorees can be viewed on the DCG website. Proceeds from the event, which totaled $248,000, will benefit student scholarships, faculty and student undergraduate research, and campus projects.

“What an incredible evening the DCG was for Ramapo College!  We were honored to celebrate an incredible set of honorees [Harry, Doug & Jean, and Deborah] who exemplify a commitment to giving back, a commitment to the importance of public higher education and a commitment to Ramapo College,” shared Ramapo College Foundation Executive Director Chris Romano.

Approximately 350 guests enjoyed an evening of dancing and dynamic music provided by The Infernos, as well as a lavish buffet. It was impressive and heart-warming to see the Ramapo community well-represented by faculty, staff, administrators, board members, students, and alumni. In fact, alumni participation was more than 100% over last year’s event, comprising almost one-quarter of the attendees. Photos of the gala can be viewed on the DCG photo gallery.
