May 4, 2023

The Ramapo College Gross Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is pleased to offer “Entering Auschwitz and Approaching Its Artifacts” on Monday, May 8, from 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Trustees Pavilion.

This semester’s program will feature a live, expert-led, virtual tour of Auschwitz. Dr. Jerzy Wójcek, who has led visitors through Auschwitz for over two decades, will be the tour guide. Following the tour, master Holocaust educators Colleen Tambuscio and Heather Lutz will lead a pedagogy workshop focused on teaching with artifacts of Auschwitz and the Holocaust.

This workshop is open to all teachers and educators, particularly those working in schools and those responsible for teaching the histories of the Holocaust and genocide. There is no cost to participate. Breakfast, lunch, and coffee will be served.

The Gross Center holds day-long workshops each semester for local teachers and informal educators dedicated to passing on the histories and lessons of the Holocaust and genocide. All inquiries should be directed via email to Dr. Jacob Ari Labendz, director of the Gross Center: The Gross Center website for more information about the program.
