Ramapo College to Host 35th Annual Black Maria Film Festival on February 12

MAHWAH, N.J. – Ramapo College of New Jersey will host the national tour of the 35th annual Black Maria Film and video Festival on Friday, February 12 at 8 p.m. in the Sharp Theater of the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts.

The acclaimed festival features award-winning short films, including animations, documentaries and narratives from the 2016 juried competition. The festival attracts and showcases the work of independent filmmakers internationally. This season, submissions were received from filmmakers on every continent except Antarctica.

Festival director Jane Steuerwald will be present to introduce the films and lead a discussion with the audience.
