MAHWAH, N.J. — Ramapo College of New Jersey has been ranked 13th in the category “Best Bang for the Buck Colleges in the Northeast” of the 2015 Washington Monthly College Guide and Rankings. This is the second year that Ramapo has been recognized, ranking 89th overall in 2014.

“Ramapo College is strongly committed to the success of all students, said Beth Barnett, Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ramapo College. “We provide comprehensive and transformational educational experiences that prepare our students for successful lives after graduation.  Our focus on affordability ensures continued access to a Ramapo College education.”

Washington Monthly’s college rankings rate institutions based on three criteria: social mobility, research and civic engagement. The magazine also rates colleges that are doing the best job of helping non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.

The “Best Bang for the Buck” category lists colleges that are the best value for your money based on “net” (not sticker) price, how well they do graduating the students they admit, and whether those students go on to earn at least enough to pay off their loans.
