MAHWAH, N.J. – The Center for Innovative and Professional Learning (CIPL) at Ramapo College of New Jersey is offering a new Management Training Series this fall for front-line managers and supervisors interested in increasing their knowledge, adding a valuable credential and learning from facilitators with real-world experience in their industries. The first workshops begin Wednesday, November 16. Registration for individual workshops or full certificate tracks is online at www.ramapo.edu/cipl/businesstraining.

“The new management workshops and certificates are highly effective training programs that provide individuals and organizations the skills needed to increase productivity and results,” said Tom Willett, Ramapo’s director of professional learning. “And, many of these skill-building programs qualify for New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development employer training grants.”

Through the new management training series, Ramapo College’s CIPL is geared to train both individuals and groups of organizational employees across three management tracks: General Management, Hospitality/Restaurant Management, and Retail Management.  For those choosing a full certificate track, these consist of 13 half-day sessions. A management skills core grouping of six (6) half-day classes is required in all certificate tracks plus an additional seven (7) half-days of track and elective options.

Popular workshops include Stepping Up to Supervision, Communication Skills for Managers, Managing Performance, Process Improvement Mapping, Flexible Staffing, Maintaining a Respectful Workplace, Emotional Intelligence, and more. Individual workshop descriptions may be reviewed on the web site.

Workshops are $225 for each half-day session. When two workshops are taken on the same day, fees are $399 (savings of $51). When three or more employees attend the same session, the fees are $200 per attendee. When participants register and pay $2,600 for a full Management Certificates track, they save $325.

Registration is completed online at www.ramapo.edu/cipl/businesstraining or contact Tom Willett at 201-684-7217 to discuss customized corporate training opportunities as well as grant-funded program opportunities.

Parking for these workshops is free on the Ramapo College campus. When attendees register at least three working days prior to a workshop, a parking pass is emailed in advance. Otherwise, attendees should allow 10 additional minutes to stop at the Security Booth at the main entrance to receive a parking pass before parking and walking to the assigned classroom.
