Judith Peck Artist’s Talk and Reception Hosted by Friends of Ramapo Celebrates an Illustrious Career

(MAHWAH, NJ) – Internationally renowned artist Judith Peck will give a talk and tour of her exhibit, Judith Peck Sculpture:  Empathy, A Retrospective Exhibition Celebrating Four Decades of Teaching Art at Ramapo College, immediately followed by a dessert reception. Please join the artist and hosts, the Friends of Ramapo, on Sunday, April 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Kresge and Pascal Galleries in the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for the Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus.

The exhibit highlights the career of Peck, who is a professor of Art at Ramapo College. A delicious dessert reception will follow her talk during which Peck will entertain questions about her works.

Peck’s works have been displayed on Dag Hammarskjold Plaza in New York City, the Robert Moses Plaza at Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City and in numerous museums, galleries and sculpture parks. Her sculpture is included in over 80 public and private collections including the Yale Gallery of Art, The Ghetto Fighters Museum in Israel and Ramapo College. The talk and reception for this one-person exhibition celebrates Peck’s career as an artist, professor, writer and pioneer in the field of art as therapy.

Following the talk and tour, there will be a dessert reception.  Please reserve your ticket now; seating, which costs $25, is limited.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the Friends of Ramapo Scholarship for the Arts which provide financial support for three students enrolled as Visual Arts, Music or Theater majors in the School of Contemporary Arts.
