(MAHWAH, NJ) – The Ramapo College Chorale, along with CantaNOVA, Skylark and Take12, will present An Early American Holiday on Sunday, December 4 at 4 p.m. at the Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood, NJ.

The candlelit performance will include 70 voices accompanied by harp, dulcimer, flute, guitar, organ as well as the Ramapo strings.

The Chorale, led by Director and Associate Professor of Vocal Music Lisa Lutter, is comprised of 70 singers from virtually every academic program on campus.  CantaNOVA, founded in 2005, is an auditioned 24-voice vocal ensemble that performs mostly a cappella music.  Skylark, started in 2007, is the College’s 20-voice women’s ensemble.  Take12 is the men’s group.

In addition to the choral event, the Schoolhouse Museum, located next door to the historic Old Paramus Church, invites all concert attendees to show their tickets between 2 and 4 p.m. for free admission to the Ridgewood Historical Society’s exhibit, The Civil War Years: At Home and on the Battlefield.

Tickets are $5 for Ramapo students and $10 for community members.  Tickets may be purchased at the door or may be purchased in advance by contacting Lutter or any Ramapo Chorale member.
