Postcards From Tora Bora is the story of an American and an Afghan as they travel throughout Afghanistan in 2004.  Evoking memories and experiences from the 1970s prewar past, Soviet invasion and the consequences of America’s war on terror, this documentary explores tourism, the impact of globalization and the absurdity and viciousness of war.

Filmmakers Kelly Dolak, an assistant professor of television production at Ramapo College, and Wazhmah Osman will discuss their work in progress.  The post-film program will feature Bond Street Theatre from New York and Afghanistan’s Exile Theatre as they join together to explore life and work in Afghanistan.

This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
