Ramapo College to Host Lecture on “Global Governance,” Part of Global Challenges Lecture Series

(MAHWAH, NJ) – Ramapo College will host the lecture “Global Governance,” as part of the Global Challenges Lecture series on Wednesday, October 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Robert A. Scott Student Center (SC-219).  The lecture will be led by Dr. Harris Gleckman who most recently served as a Climate Change consultant for the United Nations.

Panelists will also include Professor of International Politics Clifford Peterson and Associate Professor of Political Science Michael Fluhr.

Gleckman has served the United Nations in various roles, and his work and research have focused on matters such as the global environment and equity and accountability in institutions of global governance, as well as climate regime and the trade, economic, and monetary regimes.

Gleckman will discuss the emerging world system of governance and its effect on the United States during “Global Governance,” which co-sponsored by the Roukema Center for International Education and the Model United Nations Club.

The Global Challenges Lecture Series is a new program designed to provide students and the community with an opportunity to learn about contemporary events on a global scale and educate audiences on how such events will impact our lives.

This event is free and open to the public.
