(Mahwah) – The York Room Salon Series presents the City Winds Trio Sunday, October 29 at 3 p.m. at Ramapo College of New Jersey. This trio, featuring Crispian Fordham on flute, Meredyth Coleman on oboe and Danielle Ohsiek on bassoon, creates a sound more like a full orchestra than a small ensemble. Their unique sound comes from their unusual combination of instruments. The program includes works by Scott Joplin as well as Bach and Beethoven.
City Winds Trio has performed a wide variety of concerts at Trinity Church, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, St. Paul’s Chapel and St. Peter’s Church, all in New York City, among others.
Crispian Fordham has performed with the Park Avenue Chamber Players, London Festival Players and also has performed solo and chamber music in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall and the United Nations. Meredyth Coleman has performed with ensembles such as the Emerson String Quartet, Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Illini Symphony Orchestra, Arcady Music Festival Orchestra and symphonies throughout the country. She also has performed solo recitals and chamber music concerts throughout the United States. Danielle Stopek has performed solo and chamber music concerts at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Tilles Center.
Tickets for City Winds Trio are $15 and include refreshments. The York Room is located in the Birch Mansion on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey. For more information call (201) 684 – 7844.
