(Mahwah) – Ramapo College of New Jersey will be among the
colleges and universities featured at the National Association for
College Admission Counseling’s new Online College FairTM program,
debuting fall 2000. This new online recruiting tool, offered in
conjunction with Interaction Software, Inc., will make it easier
for students and parents to interact with representatives from a
number of schools.

Students will log on to www.OnlineCollegeFair.com to chat live with representatives from colleges and universities across the country during scheduled times. The Online College FairTM site will host interactive, online events, where students and their parents can chat live with school representatives, view the campuses, and learn what each institution has to offer in a “virtual Q&A.” Students also can join live sessions on topics such as financial aid and scholarships, test preparation and college counseling which will be moderated by admission community experts.

Ramapo College will participate in the following online college fairs, all from noon to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.:

    • Thursday, October 19
    • Tuesday, November 14
    • Wednesday, November 29
    • Thursday, February 1
    • Wednesday, February 21
    • Wednesday, April 18

Each participating institution will host its own multi-media chat room. Students can visit as many participating institutions as they are interested in from their home or school computer. Admission staff, faculty and current students staff the chat rooms.
