MAHWAH – “The Things They Carried,” a collection of short pieces about Tim O’Brien’s experiences in Viet Nam, will be brought to life by American Place Theatre’s Literature to Life series Tuesday, October 14 at 2 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Considered a masterwork of contemporary literature, “The Things They Carried” portrays O’Brien’s experiences during the Vietnam War.  He presents a blurred line between truth and reality and fact and fiction that makes his journey unforgettable.  This one-hour adaptation features pre- and post-show discussions.

Tickets for all seats are $10.  The Sharp Theater is located in The Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for the Performing and Visual Arts.  To order tickets, call the box office at (201) 684-7844 or log on to https://www.ramapo.edu/berriecenter/tickets-seating/.  This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

For more information, contact Anna Farneski, assistant vice president, Marketing and Communications, (201) 684-6844.
