Ramapo College Presents an Original Adaptation of Carlo Goldoni’s Servant of Two Masters

(Mahwah) – The theater program of Ramapo College of New Jersey will present Servant of Two Masters, an original adaptation of the work of Carlo Goldoni on October 21, 22, 23, 27 – 29 and 30. Maria Vail Guevara, an associate professor of theater at the College, will direct the play.

Set in Venice and featuring the traditional characters of the old Italian comedy, this classic Commedia dell’Arte play gets a working over by the resident clowns of the Ramapo College theater program. Slapstick comedy, bawdy humor, mistaken identities and lightening fast acrobatics dominate this ridiculous play.

The production will be performed on October 21 and 22 at 8 p.m., October 23 at 2 and 8 p.m., October 27 – 29 at 8 p.m. and October 30 at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. All performances will be in the Adler Theater, located in the Berrie Center for Visual and Performing Arts on the campus of Ramapo College. For ticket information, contact 201.684.7844.
