(MAHWAH, NJ) – The Ramapo College Alumni Association, in conjunction with the college’s Student Government Association, will sponsor Reunion Weekend 2010 during Octoberfest, October 1, 2 and 3.

Octoberfest will be an opportunity for alumni to reconnect in a festive atmosphere and enjoy entertaining and informative events.  Friday evening will feature concerts by Cartel and Saves the Day.  Saturday provides a full day of alumni and family fun.  At the Bandshell there will be music, hayride games, pick a pumpkin, cotton candy, inflatables and other activities.  Also planned are mini-classes presented by Ramapo professors, tours of recently completed buildings at the College and workshops on the college admissions process and graduate programs.  All of the Ramapo College Art Galleries will be open.  For sports enthusiasts, there will be a men’s soccer game versus Kean University and field hockey versus Montclair State University.

An Alumni Welcome Reception for the Classes of 1985, 2000 and 2005 will be hosted Saturday evening at the president’s residence, the Havemeyer House.  The reception will establish a new tradition as the college celebrates the five, 10 and 25-year anniversaries of it graduating classes.   That same evening at the Berrie Center, there will be a performance by folk-rocker Luka Bloom in the Sharp Theater, which is not included in the Octoberfest admission.

The fun continues on Sunday with Powder Puff Football and a Male Cheerleading Competition.
