The concert schedule is as follows:

Thursday, July 11, 2002
Fireworks and The New Jersey Pops

The New Jersey Pops have thrilled audiences for over 20 years with exciting music-this special program, first produced as a tribute to the heroes of September 11, includes a rousing patriotic salute to the USA, perfect for a July night with fireworks. America the Beautiful, God Bless America, and the country favorite God Bless the USA will fill the Ramapo Mountains along with popular tunes as this swing band-critically acclaimed as New Jersey’s favorite popular band-takes the stage at Ramapo’s Bandshell.

Thursday, July 18, 2002
Lenahan

Mixing Celtic folk roots and the spice of rock and roll, Tom Lenahan’s spirited, rousing piping, Highland reels, tin whistle, fiddles, and jigs-with a ballad or two tossed in the wink of an eye-will bring a performance to the hills of Ramapo that is infused with fire, energy and passion. Bring your own blanket and dancing shoes for a “bit ‘o the Irish” at the Ramapo College campus.

Thursday, July 25, 2002
The Infernos

From Big Band to Motown; from steamy hot Jazz to J-Lo and the sounds of today, this band with its rich harmonies does it all and does it great! When it comes to music, performance and entertainment, nobody does it better than the Infernos-the Number One Show Band in America. The group’s new dance single, “Gotta Get This Groove On” was written by Kenny Simmons, the newest member of the Infernos and a former member of The Commodores. The rich array of music wouldn’t be complete without the Sounds of Sinatra provided by solo vocalist Vince Torell. What else could you ask for, except a starry night?

Thursday, August 1, 2002
Zydeco A-Go-Go

Blend the Cajun two-step, New Orleans rhythm and blues, and swinging Louisiana rock and roll, then season this musical gumbo with a few exotic tropical rhythms – like punta, cumbia, calypso and forro – and voila, you’ve got Zydeco A-Go-Go! Always fresh and exciting, the night sky at Ramapo will be filled with irresistible get-up-on-your-feet-and-dance music. This five-piece all-star group boasts colorful members with decades of experience, having shared the stage with artists such as Bo Diddley, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Freda Payne, and Cab Calloway.
