Robert and Joyce Lehmann of Monsey, NY are a remarkable brother and sister team. Both are biochemistry majors and serve as Emergency Medical Technicians on campus. Both received merit awards; Robert received the Merck Index Award, and Joyce the Biochemistry Award and the Fred and Florence Thomases Scholarship. Both are exceptional students; Robert’s GPA is 3.9 while Joyce has maintained a GPA of 4.0. It’s not surprising that they are headed for challenging careers in medicine. Robert has been accepted into medical school at SUNY Stoney Brook and Joyce will attend SUNY College of Optometry. In addition, Robert, who attended Ramapo part-time while studying for rabbinical ordination off campus, will take the test for ordination by summer’s end.
