(Mahwah) – Three Ramapo College of New Jersey seniors are doing their part to help their classmates prepare for graduation into an unstable and unpredictable job market. Lada Svoren, Talene Luna, and Danielle Frizziola, all Communication Arts majors, organized the college’s annual Communication Arts Showcase, to be held Wednesday, May 7.

Since its inception in Spring 2001, the showcase has become an increasingly anticipated event for students in the Communication Arts program. The showcase will feature works in the audio, graphic design, digital imaging, public relations, advertising, television, video, web design, online media criticism, and writing categories. Students submit work for the show to Ramapo faculty, who review and select the pieces to be featured.

This year’s Media Collision: New Visions Showcase will include a special category, Media That Matters, which will feature student work showing positive contributions of media to society. In addition, a Ramapo graduate of the Communication Arts program will be honored for work that has made a difference in the lives of other people and society.

By inviting Ramapo alumni and area professionals, the organizers of the showcase provide a venue for students to get a professional opinion on their work, and network with those they hope to work with following graduation.

Light food and beverages will be provided. All are welcome to attend. For more information, please contact mediacollision3@hotmail.com.
