Ramapo College Seniors to Display Final Art Projects

(Mahwah) – Artwork by graduating Ramapo College of New Jersey students will be on display from May 12 to May 25 in the Kresge and Pascal galleries. Organized by art professor Jay Wholley, the exhibit is comprised of works by students majoring in communications and visual art. The culmination of the graduates’ studies at Ramapo, the exhibit includes photography, sculpture, computer art, animation and painting. An opening reception will take place Wednesday, May 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.

In this show, students have an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned to create an exhibit that will underline their education at Ramapo,” said Boris Smirnov, a visual and fine arts as well as communications major.

Smirnov, whose exhibited work will be a combination of photography and graphic design, said that students will exhibit series of works that are related in some way, with a common theme defined at the beginning of the semester.

  • Juliet Little – Little Falls, NJ
  • Jay Miller – Atlantic Highlands, NJ
  • Brian M. O’Donnell – Middletown, NJ
  • Tracey M. Salafia – Saddle Brook, NJ
  • Sonja Saranovic – Oradell, NJ
  • Rebecca Shaw – Dover, NJ
  • Sarah Siering – Forked River, NJ

Admission to the Senior Art Show is free. The Kresge and Pascal galleries are located in the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For more information, call 201.684.7844.
