The Best of Second City Comes To Ramapo College

(Mahwah) – The Best of Second City” will perform Saturday, May 13 at 8 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.  Featuring a cast of six, The Best of Second City” is two acts of highly charged and wildly funny comedy.

The Second City is considered the zany first theater of comedy/improvisation whose alumni include Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Mike Myers, Martin Short and Alan Alda, to name a few.  For over forty years, The Second City has been touring a hilarious and inventive evening of sketch comedy and improvisation all over the world.

Founded in Chicago in 1959, The Second City has been the starting point for many comedic actors, writers and directors working in American film, television and theater.  In addition to three touring companies that operate year-round, The Second City maintains resident theaters in Chicago, Toronto, Detroit and Cleveland.

Tickets for The Second City performance are $25 for adults, $22 for senior citizens and $15 for youth.  The Sharp Theater is located at the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus.  For more information call 201.684.7844.
