Brooklyn Baroque Presents Works By Bach and Other Composers at Ramapo College

(Mahwah) – Brooklyn Baroque will perform on Sunday, April 10 at 3 p.m. in the York Room on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey. The performance is part of the College’s York Room Salon Series.

The ensemble features the collaboration of Rebecca Pechefsky on harpsichord, Andrew Bolotowsky on flute and David Bakamjian on cello. They will perform works by Bach and other composers of the period.

Brooklyn Baroque debuted in the fall of 2000. Since then, the ensemble has performed regularly at New York City’s historic Morris-Jumel Mansion, as well as in several venues outside the City, where opportunities to hear Baroque music played on period instruments are not as frequent. Brooklyn Baroque specializes in the music of Bach and his contemporaries, but its concerts often range further back into the 17th century or as far forward as Beethoven. The ensemble seeks to recapture the more leisurely pace of the 18th century.

Tickets for Brooklyn Baroque are $10 and include refreshments. The York Room is located in the Birch Mansion of Ramapo College of New Jersey. For more information call 201.684.7844.

This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
