(Mahwah) – Ramapo College of New Jersey will be the site of The Great Health Debate, scheduled Tuesday, March 9 from 7 – 8:40 p.m. Authors and representatives from Atkins, The Zone Diet, the Dr. Dean Ornish Program (awaiting final confirmation) and others will engage in a lively debate over which is the best diet for good health.

Hosted by The Society of Success and Leadership, the program will be broadcast live from Ramapo College to more than 100 college audiences to include over 10,000 students, staff, faculty and members of the community.

Participating in the debate are Dr. Barry Sears, author of The Zone Diet; Dr. Stuart Trager, a representative from Atkins; Dr. Dean Ornish, author of Eat More, Weigh Less and other distinguished representatives from some of the most popular diets in America.

Each representative will be given the opportunity to present why they believe their diet is the best. Then, the floor will be open for debate so that viewers may conclude for themselves the health benefits and consequences of each diet plan.

Are some diets healthier than others? The health and diet industry offers an innumerable number of books, plans and products. People are left confused as to knowing which is the right diet for them–or even if they should be on one. This debate will address the various differences between diets, as well as help attendees come to a consensus on what the experts agree on.

The event will be held in the Berrie Center for the Performing and Visual Arts at Ramapo College. Members of the community are invited to attend. The health debate includes a live, call-in Q & A as well as handouts for all attending. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters during select online chat times.

The Society of Success and Leadership presents a series of seven live satellite/videoconference events each year to high schools and colleges across the country. For more information on this and upcoming events, visit their Website at www.societyofsuccess.com.
