Ramapo College Professor and Artist Judith Peck Presents All About People: Sculptures in Bronze at Pearldaddy Gallery

(Mahwah) – Judith Peck, a professor of art education at Ramapo College and a sculptress who lives in Mahwah, will present her work, All About People:  Sculptures in Bronze at Pearldaddy Gallery in Beacon, NY.  The exhibit runs through March 2.

Her Pearldaddy Gallery show will include older and newer works ranging from free-standing and wall-mounted sculptures to table top sculptures, and a series of small centerpiece works of pears, onions and potatoes in bronze and stainless steel, several previously exhibited at the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton.  Peck’s sculpture focuses on the nuances of people’s actions and behavior and the beauty and curiosities in everyday life.

Judith Peck has shown installations on the Robert Moses Plaza of Lincoln Center and Dag Hammorskold Plaza in New York and exhibited at numerous museums and galleries, including, among others, the National Academy Galleries in New York, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the International Biennial of Art in Malta and the New Jersey State Museum.  She also has exhibited at numerous universities and her work is in permanent collections around the world, including in the American Art Collection of the Yale University Gallery, the Ghetto Fighters Museum in Israel and the West Palm Beach Florida Library.  Locally, her sculptures are installed at the Ridgewood New Jersey Train Station, Tenafly High School and Teaneck Public Library, with temporary installations at Clifton City Hall and Ramapo College of New Jersey.
