Jennifer Weber, the 2026 Nancy Jaeger Award for Excellence in Counseling recipient
The Nancy Jaeger Award is awarded annually to a school counselor annually by Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Mahwah, NJ – The Office of Admissions at Ramapo College of New Jersey honored Jennifer Weber of Whippany Park High School with the Nancy Jaeger Award for Excellence in Counseling during the College’s annual School and College Counselor Luncheon held on February 27, 2026, on Ramapo’s Mahwah campus.
Weber was selected from among numerous school counselors for her dedication to guiding students through the college search process while fostering strong relationships with college admissions professionals and fellow counselors in support of student success.
“Her students don’t feel directed – they feel heard,” said Sarah Stacey ’19, the Ramapo College admissions counselor who oversees the Morris County area. Stacey presented the award and stated that Weber “challenges students to tune out the noise and encourages them to trust their gut. She reminds them that learning what you don’t want is just as valuable as discovering what you do.”
Weber has served as a school counselor at Whippany Park High School for 11 years and has worked in education for 13 years. She focuses on helping students identify colleges where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
A 2011 graduate of Ramapo College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Weber later earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Long Island University. She is an active member of the Morris County Professional Counselor Association and regularly engages with admissions professionals and campus visits to stay informed about trends in higher education.
This is the 11th year Ramapo has presented the Nancy Jaeger Award, which is named in honor of the College’s former director of admissions. During her nearly 40-year career at Ramapo, Jaeger built strong partnerships with high school counselors throughout New Jersey while helping generations of students find their path to college.
