When can I start the MPP Program?

The MPP will be launching in Fall 2026

How long will it take me to get my MPP degree?

The MPP can be completed in 2 years full time or 2.5-5 years part time.

Is the MPP program full time or part time?

The MPP program can be taken full time or part time but all courses must be completed within 5 years

Is the program offered in person, online, or in a hybrid format?

The MPP program is hybrid with only 3-5 in person meetings required each semester

What are the qualifications to apply to the program?

Do I need to have an undergraduate degree in Public Policy to enter the program?

No, all undergraduate majors are welcome.

Can I continue to work full time while earning my MPP degree?

Yes, the MPP was designed with the schedule of a working professional in mind.

Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?

The Program Director of the MPP Program will review eligible applicants for transfer credits according to the College’s Graduate Program Policies and Procedure found here.

How much does the program cost?

Graduate tuition is charged on a per credit basis. The MPP program is 30 credits total. The current MPP tuition rate can be found here.

Are there payment plans and/or employer reimbursement cooperation agreements?

We do have in-house payment plan options and cooperate with employer reimbursement programs. More information can be found at https://www.ramapo.edu/student-accounts/options-policies/

Can graduate students apply for Financial Aid?

Yes, Graduate students may borrow up to $20,500 annually under the Federal Direct Stafford Loan programs.

To qualify for a Federal Direct Stafford loan, graduate students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per semester. Students enrolled for less than 6 credits may consider an alternative loan.

Are there scholarships available?

There are no scholarships available through Admissions. There are a few Graduate Assistantship positions available each year. When they are available, they are posted here.
