This free introductory session will briefly review the meaning and benefits of mindfulness practices, and then present an experiential introduction to breath-based meditation practice. Suggestions will be offered on how to integrate a simple, but effective, mindfulness practice into one’s everyday life. Wear comfortable clothing.

Deep Listening is a practice that encourages heightened awareness of the sounds in our environment. In this experiential workshop we will explore the difference between involuntary hearing and selective listening. Pauline Oliveros will engage the audience in her sonic (sound-based) meditations followed by a concert with composer, performer, Seth Cluett and Trumpeter, Ben Neill.

Partially guided meditations at Ramapo College, in Bergen County, Northern NJ. These free weekly meditation sessions will be led by Jim Morley and Peter Emr. Registration is required but walk-ins are welcome and can register at the session. No experience required.
