“CALMING OUR ANXIOUS BRAINS WITH MINDFUL AWARENESS” WITH DR. KEN VERNI

We all want to feel safe and secure in our lives and our surroundings and our brain functions in a way that is meant to help us achieve this desire; however, due to the complex, fast- paced nature of modern life, the very functions that are meant to help us instead cause unnecessary anxiety. Mindfulness practice helps us to calm down the fight or flight centers of the brain and bring ease to the body. As our bodies settle down our minds settle as well. Dr. Ken Verni is a licensed Psychologist and an advanced Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor.

$15 Community charge | Free for Ramapo faculty, staff and students.  This event requires registration and a parking pass.
