To qualify for this special scholarship, applicants should follow the Ramapo College Application Process, including providing:

• SAT or ACT scores
• High School Diploma
• High School Transcript

Preparing a letter with information concerning the following:

• Financial need
• Community service
• Leadership
• Work experiences
• English language proficiency

Students will be selected based on their SAT or ACT scores and high school transcript; essay; and demonstrated financial need.

Finalists will be interviewed in Haiti by representatives of the Ramapo Community.  Scholarships will be awarded by the Haiti Relief Committee, an inclusive group that represents all areas of the College.

These scholarships are part of an effort by the Ramapo College staff, students, and faculty in response to the current emergency situation in Haiti.  The scholarships stipulate that the Haitian students commit to returning to Haiti to practice what they’ve learned at Ramapo.
