Purple represents spirit on the rainbow flag, and millions of Americans will wear it today. So join the Women’s Center and “go purple”! At 1pm, stop by the Women’s Center for a meet and greet lunch with Shanna Katz, and go to Alumni Lounges for her formal event at 3pm, where Shanna will speak about her online open-source sex education program. She is a queer disabled certified sexologist and sexuality educator and she talks, writes and teaches about the huge spectrum of sexuality, both from personal and professional perspectives. Don’t miss out on a great learning opportunity! Also taking place at 1pm and hosted by the Women’s Center is a discussion with Kevin Roberts, the author of Cyber Junkie: Escape the Gaming and Internet Trap, who will share his personal experience on the harsh realities of Cyber Addiction. So stop by SC-138 and learn about how we can all be more aware and avoid the cyber trap! Then at 7pm is Take Back the Night in Alumni Lounges where you can join the Women’s Center in speaking out and marching against sexual and relationship violence! Come to all these events in support of Queer History Month! And at 6pm, the Women’s Tennis team will be playing Kean University and the Men and Women’s Swimming teams will go up against FDU-Florham. This week, Nelly’s Echo will be performing in Friends Hall at 10pm. Nelson Emokpae, also known as Nelly, competed on season 3 of NBC’s The Voice!
