Center for Student Involvement (CSI)

Weekend Edition 2/12-2/15

Join Relay for Life and the College Programming Board on Thursday, February 12th for their event “Crafting for a Cure” at 10 pm in the Pavilion. Students will have the opportunity to color, paint, glue and more as they learn about Relay for Life’s mission and their upcoming event on March 6th. Come out and support a great cause!

February 13th at 10 pm, the College Programming Board is holding their annual Stuff a Plush event at 10 pm in Alumni Lounges. Students will be allowed to choose the animal of their choice and stuff it themselves to create their very own furry friend! Don’t miss out!

Share the love this Valentine’s Day by volunteering with the CCEC on their Teaneck Tutoring trip on February 14th at 9:30 am! They will be focusing on subjects such as Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Arts & Crafts. No experience in tutoring is necessary. This project is great for students seeking CEC credit and for those in the process of receiving their teaching certification! Later that night, head to the Pavilion at 10 pm for a Dinner and a Movie night hosted by the College Programming Board! Students will be served dinner buffet style as they sit back and relax as they watch the hit comedy film Valentine’s Day! The dinner buffet will feature bread rolls, salad, chicken parmesan, pasta, vegetables, and chocolate fondue for dessert!

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday, February 17th, Brian O’Sullivan will be performing on campus! Brian is a singing comedian from Los Angeles who uses clever lyrics and catchy tunes to deliver his punchlines! Inspired by artists “Weird Al” Yankovic, Stephen Lynch, and The Bloodhound Gang and compared to artists like Bo Burnham, O’Sullivan is truly a unique and entertaining performer. His lyrics and jokes are incredibly creative, and Brian has a special niche for making fun of pop culture from a college student’s perspective. This is a musical comedy show you won’t want to miss!
