Jacklin Kurter, MA, LPC

Education 

Jacklin Kurter (Pronouns: she/her/hers) holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. 

Relevant Experience

Jacklin worked as a temporary Psychological Counselor at the Center for Health and Counseling Services at Ramapo College in 2019-2020. Jacklin returned to Ramapo College during Fall of 2022 and transitioned into her role as the First-Generation Counselor and Outreach Specialist. Jacklin serves as a member of Ramapo College’s First-Generation Action Team whose mission is to provide support and services that promote success for first-generation college students. Prior to joining the team at CHCS, Jacklin worked in a variety of mental health settings with adolescents and adults providing individual and group therapy. 

Professional Interests 

Jacklin enjoys working with students on a variety of topics such as first-generation college student experiences, culture, anxiety, relationship stressors, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, depression, emotion dysregulation. 

Personal Interests 

Jacklin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, going out to eat, reading, and binge watching tv shows.
