Intimidated at the thought of becoming a nurse? The Nursing Student Organization will help you get there. The NSO informs underclassmen about the nursing field and provides them with advice about classes and good study habits. They plan informative and social events for all nursing students. At the beginning of the school year, NSO holds a Chicken and Rib Crib Kick Off so students can meet. The organization sponsors the Sierra Leone Awareness Event, which raises awareness and money for residents of the impoverished country. Ramapo College nursing students spent time in Sierra Leone this summer practicing medicine. NSO is also active in on-campus fundraisers for breast cancer and the Adopt-a-Soldier program. Members get a chance to visit the Bodies Exhibit as well as attend tours of Valley and Englewood Hospital to help students make plans for the future.
