Subject: Update to Health Services

Dear Students:

As of Monday, March 2, 2026 and through Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Ramapo College will offer free, telehealth services to all students via Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. Appointments will be available Monday through Sunday (7 days per week) from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Many medical concerns can be addressed via telehealth such as cold, flu, sore throat, cough or sinus symptoms. Please see a list of medical reasons to book a telehealth appointment below under RESOURCES. Students can access telehealth by calling Bergen New Bridge Medical Center directly at 201-967-4233 or 551-276-0317 and using their computer, tablet, or smart phone to join the appointment. Please be prepared to share your Ramapo student identification card with the medical provider.

If an in-person appointment is needed, the closest Bergen New Bridge Medical Center clinic is CareRightNow on 250 River Road, New Milford, NJ (outside of the ShopRite). Another in-person, local option is CitiMD in Ramsey and it is accessible using the Ramapo Roadrunner Express Shuttle. We have increased the number of shuttle stops per day. Shuttle pickup is in front of the Bradley Center and the vehicle is ADA accessible. The updated shuttle schedule is found here.

While the College is covering the cost of telehealth appointments through Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, if you choose to see an in-person medical provider you will be responsible for the cost. Please remember to bring your insurance card.

Emergencies should always be directed to 911 or Public Safety at 201-684-6666. Please see a list of medical reasons to see in-person, emergency care below under RESOURCES.

We extend thanks to our very own EMS staff and students who have contributed to our Health Services operations in recent weeks.The last day for an EMS presence is Friday, February 27th. In addition, we are grateful for Bergen New Bridge Medical Center’s agile partnership in helping us meet this moment.

Reasons to book a telehealth appointment:

• Cold, flu, sore throat, or sinus symptoms
• COVID or flu exposure questions
• Mild cough (no trouble breathing)
• Urinary symptoms (burning, frequency)
• Minor gynecological concerns
• STI exposure questions or testing coordination
• Birth control start, refill, or emergency contraception counseling
• Rashes, eczema, acne, or minor skin infections
• Back pain, neck pain, or minor sprains/strains
• Headaches or migraines (your usual pattern)
• Medication refills (non-controlled) or lab result review

Please Seek In-Person or Emergency Care If You Have:

• Chest pain or pressure
• Trouble breathing or severe asthma symptoms
• Fainting or loss of consciousness
• Stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, slurred speech, vision changes)
• Severe abdominal pain
• Heavy vaginal bleeding or severe pelvic pain
• Sudden, severe testicular pain
• Head injury with confusion or repeated vomiting
• Suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming yourself or others
• Severe allergic reaction (swelling of face/lips, trouble breathing)
• High fever with stiff neck or feeling extremely ill
