FYS Class:

Class of: 2028

Major/Minor: Biology

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class is Biology because I find it fascinating to learn how the human body works and how all the systems affect and interact with each other. I also like that there is always something new to learn since it is a field that is constantly evolving and discovering new things, so the learning never stops, only deepens.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Student Center. It has lounges for studying, dining services, the bookstore, and even outside seating that’s perfect for a nice day. It’s a great spot to get some work done, grab some food, or just relax between classes.

Clubs/organizations: I’m an orientation leader, where I help new students feel welcomed and adjust to campus life. I’m also on the eboard for the American Cancer Society, where we focus on raising awareness and supporting cancer research. Both roles let me connect with others and make a difference.

Future Plans: I plan to continue my education and pursue a career in the medical field as a Physician Assistant. I’m so excited about the many opportunities ahead, especially in this field of work, to grow, learn, and make a meaningful impact.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.” -Eeyore

Advice for First-Year Students: Your first year is a fresh new start where your past doesn’t define you. You don’t have to have everything figured out, there is always support on campus to help you grow and learn.
