Favorite Class:Law and Society 131 with Professor Serban. She has a way of engaging the whole room with her fun teaching style. She makes the topic very interesting, and often provokes you to think deeply.

Favorite Place on Campus:Study room 429, I love the windows and the natural lighting. I work the best when I’m in there.

Clubs/Organizations:SGA- I love being able to learn more about how different departments of the school function, and I get to see a lot of that with all the work that the senators do. It’s amazing being able to voice the concerns of the student body, and see the change happen before your eyes.

Project ARCH- I am interested in politics, and in ARCH, we do a lot of civic engagement and voter education. I get to help those around me, and broadcast information that is usually so dense and difficult to understand.

Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity- In PAD, we do things like fundraising, attending professional events like law school mixers, and tons of other cool things that I have yet to do since I just joined in March. This gives me a peek into my future career.

Future Plans:I was recently awarded the New Jersey Governor’s Hispanic Fellowship Program, and I will be interning with an environmental non-profit doing community outreach and research on environmental problems in the area. I will also be starting my on campus job in fall with Commuter Affairs through CSI! Post graduation, I hope to go to law school and become a Prosecutor.

Favorite Inspirational Quote:”Don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid to not try.”

Advice for First-Year Students: Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, and put yourself out there. It seems terrifying at first, it gets a little less terrifying when you realize everyone else is as scared as you are. Also, I cannot stress this enough, get involved! I’ve met some of my greatest friends through the clubs and organizations I joined in my first year.
