The Office of Access, Belonging, and Community supports the transformative impact of a Ramapo College education by partnering with all campus community members to reduce barriers to participation, foster meaningful belonging, and strengthen community through learning, collaboration, and engagement.

Purpose Statement:

The Office of Access, Belonging, and Community serves as a collaborative institutional partner that helps create the conditions for every member of the Ramapo community to thrive. Through consultation, education, student engagement, and strategic partnerships, the office supports thoughtful decision-making, cultivates belonging, and builds meaningful connections across the College and beyond.

ABC Definitions:

Access is the intentional creation of equitable opportunities so that every member of the campus community can fully engage and benefit from the academic, co-curricular, and campus experience.

Belonging is the experience of knowing that you matter and that you are respected, valued, and empowered to contribute authentically to the campus community.

Community is both the outcome of access and belonging and the ongoing practice of building meaningful relationships, engaging productively across differences, and sharing in the responsibility of strengthening our campus community.

Multicultural Center Mission Statement:

The Multicultural Center enriches the transformative Ramapo College experience by creating opportunities for all students to explore cultures and perspectives, express their identities and lived experiences, and engage across differences. As a hub for learning, dialogue, leadership, and community-building, the Center empowers students to evolve through cultural humility and thrive as engaged, empathetic leaders in an increasingly interconnected world.
