Whether you are interested in government work, nonprofit groups, or business, or if you have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or Nursing, the Master of Public Policy program (MPP) is designed for those who have a strong desire to make a meaningful and positive difference in society and the world at large.
This 30 credit program caters to those who are interested in fields that encompass policymaking, engaging in public service, or actively working to create social change. Covering important topics such as climate justice, criminal justice reform, public health, and urban development, you’ll develop the necessary skills to address complex societal issues.
You will also learn both the theory of public policy and practical ways to get involved in discussions and projects that aim to help others. This will improve your understanding of how public policies are made, analyzed, and carried out. The tools and knowledge that you gain in the Master of Public Policy program will help you make a difference in your community and beyond.

Kaitlin N. Sidorsky is an associate professor of political science and public policy at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She earned her BA from Bryant University and her MA and Ph.D. in political science from Brown University. Among the books she has authored or co-authored are Inequality Across State Lines: How Policymakers Have Failed Domestic Violence Victims in the United States (Cambridge University Press), All Roads Lead to Power: Appointed and Elected Paths to Public Office for U.S. Women (University Press of Kansas), and Hamiltonia: A State and Local Government Simulation (Bloomsbury) as well as various articles.
