Weekend Edition 11/30-12/2

Thursday, November 29th, if you’re looking for a fun time on, then you’ll definitely want to come to this After Dark event, Spike Out November, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Spike Out November is co-hosted by Tri Sigma, Alpha Sigma Phi and Enactus! At this event, there will be 8 separate spike ball nets, volleyball, basketball, Cornhole and ping pong. There will also be raffle tickets given out if you answer questions correctly about alcohol, drugs and wellness. Food will be served between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. You definitely will not want to miss out!

 

Friday, November 30th, come to Office Olympics hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! At this fun and exciting event, there will be giant tic-tac-toe, rubber band archery, and more! There will also be chances to win some great prizes, so don’t miss out!

 

On Saturday, December 1st, make sure to cheer on your fellow Roadrunners at one of the many sporting events that will be going on! First, show your support for the Men’s Basketball team at their game against Stockton University in the Bradley Center at 1:00 p.m. Then, at 2:00 p.m., come to the Men and Women’s Swimming meet against University of Scranton in the Bradley Center. At 3:00 p.m., there is the Women’s Basketball versus Stockton University game in the Bradley Center. If you’re still looking for more excitement after all of these events, then you should definitely come to Big Prize Bingo hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. At this event, you will be able to play fun games of Bingo and have chances to win some BIG prizes! Food will be provided, so make sure to stop by!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  December 4th,  at 9:00 p.m., come to Friends Hall to enjoy a performance by The Sidekicks, a punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. Click here for a preview of their music. Weekend Edition 11/16-11/18

Thursday, November 15th, join the College Programming Board for Mystery Box Bingo at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall to play fun games of Bingo and have the chance to win some amazing prizes! Food will be provided, so make sure to stop by!

 

Friday, November 16th, show your support for the Women’s Basketball team at the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament in their game against Medgars Ever College for at the Bradley Center at 7:30 p.m. If you’re looking for more to do later, come to the Movie Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium. We will be watching The Incredibles 2! Make sure to come by for a good time!

 

On Saturday, November 17th, start your day off by going to the Women’s Basketball Consolation Game  at 12:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center, and then the Women’s Basketball Championship Game 2:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, the College Programming Board will be hosting their annual Friendsgiving event! Make sure you bring all of your friends to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner before we leave for break! We will be having turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more! You definitely will not want to miss out!

 

CPB will not be programming next week due to the Thanksgiving Break, but we will be back at it with a full week of events starting with an Open Mic Night on November 27th. The event begins at 9:00 p.m. in the Padovano Commons, and all are welcome to participate or watch from the crowd. We hope everyone has a great break! After break, we will be having an After Dark, and an Office Olympics! Make sure to stay tuned!

Weekend Edition 11/9-11/11

Thursday, November 8th, you won’t want to miss out on Ultimate Duck-Duck-Goose, an exciting competition hosted by the College Programming Board in Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m. Compete against your friends in an INTENSE game of Duck Duck Goose! At this event, we will be raffling off 2 tickets for the A Boogie concert, so you won’t want to miss out!

 

Friday, November 9th, start your evening off by showing your support for Women’s Basketball team at their game against Lehman College in the Bradley Center at 5:30 p.m. Later, at 7:30 p.m., come to the Men’s Basketball game against Western Connecticut State in the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for more to do at night, then you won’t want to miss out on Stuff-A-Plush hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. If you’ve ever wanted to make your own stuffed animal, then this is the event for you! At this event, we will be raffling another 2 tickets for the A Boogie concert. This event is very popular, and supplies are limited, please make sure you arrive early!

 

On Saturday, November 10th, come support the Men and Women’s Swim Teams at their meet against Rowan University in the Bradley Center at 2:00 p.m. At night, come to the biggest event of the semester hosted by the Student Government Association and the College Programming Board, the Fall Concert featuring A Boogie wit Da Hoodie! Also, the concert is going to be opened by one our fellow Roadrunners! A Boogie is most well known for his “Drowning” featuring Kodak Black. This event is sold out, so if you have a ticket, make sure to come early, as lines will form at this event! Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. and no one will be admitted thereafter.

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  November 13th  at 10:00 p.m., come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night hosted by the College Programming Board and co-sponsored by WRPR for a fun night filled with live music! All are welcome to perform or watch!

Weekend Edition 11/2-11/4

Thursday, November 1st, if you think you can make it through an entire Vine compilation without laughing, then come to Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m. for Try Not to Laugh hosted by the College Programming Board! If you can make it through the whole compilation, you have the chance to win a great prize! You can also dress up at your favorite Vine at this event! You won’t want to miss out on this hilarious event!

 

Friday, November 2nd, come to the Pavilion at 10:00 p.m. to go to the Cultural Food Fest & DIY Zen Garden Night hosted by the College Programming Board! Make sure to come by for some delicious cultural food and to create your own Zen Garden!

 

On Saturday, November 3rd, make sure to show your support for the Men and Women’s Swim Team at their meet against The College of New Jersey at 2:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, if you want to hang out and listen to some great music, make sure to come to the Battle of the DJs at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall, hosted by the College Programming Board. At this event, you will be able to enjoy music by your own fellow Roadrunners!  We will be having judges decide which DJ is the best! Come for a good time and some great music!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  November 6th  at 10:00 p.m., come to the H-wing Auditorium  to enjoy a performance by Francisco Ramos! Francisco Ramos is most well known for his performance in the Netflix show “Lady Dynamite” and made it to the Top 10 Finalists of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”. Weekend Edition 10/26-10/28

Thursday, October 25th,  start off your night by showing your support for the Women’s Volleyball at their game against The City College of New York at the Bradley Center at 7:00 p.m. Later, if you’re looking for more to do, then you should definitely come to the Free Money Game Show hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. This game show is like Jeopardy and Minute to Win It all rolled into one and if you participate you can have the chance to win up to $200! You definitely will not want to miss out on the chance to win some FREE MONEY!

 

Friday, October 26th, if you’re in the fall spirit, then come to Pumpkin and Apples hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. Here, you can paint pumpkins, drink apple cider, and do many other fall themed activities! Supplies will be provided and all are welcome to attend!

 

On Saturday, October 27th, start off your morning by coming to the Women’s Volleyball game against Alvernia University at 11:00 a.m. at the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for some free and spooky entertainment, then you definitely will not want to miss out on the Murder Mystery event hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m.  in Friends Hall. We will be welcoming the Riddlesbrood Touring Theater Company as they perform a Halloween themed play for us! You will be able to enjoy a free dinner while attempting to solve a murder mystery with your friends! Get ready for some laughs, suspense and great food at this event!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. Weekend Edition 10/19-10/21

Thursday, October 18th,  if you’re interested in learning American Sign Language, then this is the event for you! Join the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall for ASL Bingo! This event is co-sponsored by the American Sign Language Club. At this event you can enjoy a fun game of Bingo with your friends while learning something new as well! All are welcome to attend!

 

Friday, October 19th, join the College Programming Board for a Movie Night at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing auditorium! At this movie night, co-sponsored by the Women’s Center, we will be screening Disobedience, a film featuring Rachel McAdams that is about a New York Photographer that flies to London after hearing about the death of her father, and eventually reignites her love for her childhood friend. You definitely will not want to miss out on this amazing and dramatic movie!

 

On Saturday, October 20th, make sure to come to Women’s Soccer game at 1:00 p.m. at the Athletic Center against Rowan University. This game is their Senior Day, so you won’t want to miss out! Later, come to the H-wing auditorium for a Movie Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. At this Movie Night, we will be screening The First Purge! This movie is an exciting thriller that is the prequel to The Purge series. Make sure to come through to watch this intense thriller!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 23rd  at 10:00 p.m., come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night hosted by the College Programming Board and co-sponsored by WRPR for a fun night filled with live music! All are welcome to perform or watch!

Weekend Edition 10/12-10/14

Thursday, October 11th,  start your night off by showing support for the Women’s Volleyball in their game against Stockton University at 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for more fun later, then come to Karaoke Night in J. Lee’s at 10:00 p.m. At this event, you’ll be able to sing your heart out with your friends and enjoy some free entertainment! All are welcome to come watch or perform!

 

Friday, October 12th, start your day off by showing your support for the Men’s Tennis team at their game against Baruch College at 12:00 p.m. in the Athletic Center. Later, make sure to come to CPB Food Science Night in Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m., where you can make a tasty treat with your friends! At this event, you can make some delicious ice cream in a bag. Supplies will be provided!

 

On Saturday, October 13th, make sure to come to the many sporting events going on! First, show your Ramapride at the Women’s Volleyball game against Wells College at 11:00 a.m. in the Bradley Center. Then, at 1:00 p.m., come to the Men’s Soccer game against Rutgers-Camden at 1:00 p.m. at the Turf! After that, at 2:00 p.m., show your support for the Men and Women’s Swimming team at their meet against Immaculata University in the Bradley Center. Then, you can also come to the Women’s Volleyball team’s game against The Sage Colleges at 3:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Then at night, you won’t want to miss out on CPB Junk Food Chopped! Come to Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m. to take part in the CPB version of the popular food show “Chopped”! At this event, you can make your own tasty creations made out of your favorite snacks based on different themes and categories. You definitely won’t want to miss out on this fun challenge and free food!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 16th  at 9:00 p.m., come through to watch the comedic performance of Brandon Vestal! Brandon Vestal is most well known for winning the Hollywood Comedy Festival, and he was a finalist in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas. Weekend Edition 10/5-10/7

Thursday, October 4th, if you’re looking for something to do tonight, make sure to come to the Bradley Center at 10:00 p.m. for an After Dark co-sponsored by SAAC, The Rock Climbing Club, and the RCNJ Dance Team! At this After Dark, you can enjoy free chair massages by Mountainside Massage Therapy, rock climbing, and a DJ Dance party with the Dance Team! There will also be many other games and activities and lots of free food! You won’t want to miss out!

 

Friday, October 5th, you will not want to miss out on the Fall Fest and the Haunted Mansion co-sponsored by the Student Government Association and Alpha Psi Omega. Stop by for a thrill at Fall Fest in the Laurel Courts at 8:00 p.m., enjoy late night dining on the courts starting at 9:00 p.m., music by DJ Ode, tie-dye, jumbo Connect 4, sticky dodgeball, 3D twister, DIY spin art, and DIY fish tanks! If you’re looking for a good scare, come take a tour of the Haunted Birch Mansion. Stop by between 8:00 p.m.-9:45 p.m. or 10:15 p.m.-12:00 a.m. to experience this awesome event!

 

On Saturday, October 6th, start your day off by going to the Men’s Tennis Ramapo Invitational at 11:00 a.m. at the Tennis Courts. Then, come to the Bradley Center at 12:00 p.m. to show your support for Men and Women’s Swimming on their Alumni Day. After that, you won’t want to miss out on the Women’s Soccer game against Montclair State University at 1:00 p.m. on the grass field. Also at 1:00 p.m. you can go to the Women’s Field Hockey game against Lancaster Bible College on the Turf. In addition to all of these opportunities to be an athletic supporter, don’t miss the Oktoberfest Carnival sponsored by the Student Government Association at 12:00 p.m on the Bandshell. At this exciting event, there will be inflatables, Football toss, inflatable hoops, Giant Darts, caricatures, face painting, pumpkin painting, and hay rides! There will also be free food from Nicky’s, Rita’s, Moe’s and more! If you’re looking for even more to do, then definitely come to Nightmare on the Archway hosted by the Student Government Association at the Grove. At this event, which runs from 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., you can join SGA for an Oktoberfest themed dance party with a DJ and a lot of free food! You won’t want to miss out!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 9th  at 9:00 p.m., CPB and WRPR will be hosting an Open Mic Night in the new Padovano Commons! The Padovano Commons can be found by the Spirituality Center. This Open Mic Night also serves as an audition to open for A Boogie at the November 10th concert! All are welcome to perform or to watch!

Weekend Edition 9/28-9/30

Thursday, September 27th, come to Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m. to DIY Clothing Night hosted by the College Programming Board! If you’re interested in making your own clothing or accessories, then this is the event for you! At this event, we are going to be using reusable canvas bags to turn your old t-shirts into fashionable bags. You can also choose to jazz up some of your clothes! Bags, scissors and fabric paint will be provided, but be sure to bring any old clothes!  We hope to see you there!

 

Friday, September 28th, make sure to come to Escape the Room in the Pavilion at 10:00 p.m. hosted by the College Programming Board. Come to this event to go on an exciting and interactive adventure! In Escape the Room, you will be locked in a themed room and then given puzzles and clues to guide your escape. Make sure to come through and bring your friends for a fun challenge!

 

On Saturday, September 29th, start your day off by showing your support for the Men’s Soccer team at 1:00 p.m. at the turf in their game against Stockton University. Also at 1:00 p.m., come to the Women’s Tennis match against SUNY-Delhi in the Athletic Center. Then at 4:30 p.m., you will definitely want to come to the Field Hockey game against The College of New Jersey on the turf.  If you’re looking for more to do later, come to Painting and Mocktails hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. At this relaxing event, you will be able to create some paintings while sipping on mocktails! Supplies will be provided! Hope to see you there!

This Tuesday,  October 2nd  at 9:00 p.m., if you’re looking to enjoy some amazing live music, come down to Friends Hall to check out this week’s live performer Slingshot Dakota! Slingshot Dakota is a Pennsylvania based indie-pop band. To check out a preview of their music, click on this link! The opener will be a band called Letterboxes. Weekend Edition 9/21-9/23

Thursday, September 20th,  you will not want to miss out on the Community Gaming Night, an event co-sponsored by the College Programming Board and Ramapo E-Sports at 10:00 p.m. in J. Lee’s. If you’re into gaming, then stop by to play games and enjoy some free food! There will also be a raffle for GREAT prizes! You can also play pool or ping pong and as always, free popcorn! All are welcome!

 

Friday, September 21st, start your night off by showing your support for the Women’s Volleyball team in their game against New York University at 7:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Then if you’re hungry, come to Taste of Mahwah hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. At this popular event, students can try samples of food from local restaurants, and vote on their favorites. Some of the restaurants that will be featured at this event are Moe’s, Nicky’s, Cars, Letitia, and more! Lines form at this event, so make sure to arrive early and bring your appetite!

 

On Saturday, September 22nd, head over to Bradley Center to watch the Women’s Volleyball game against Middlebury College at 11:00 a.m. Then at 1:00 p.m., make sure to come to the Field Hockey team’s game against Immaculata University at the turf. Also at 1:00 p.m., you can go to the Women’s Soccer team’s game against The College of New Jersey in the Athletic Center. If you’re looking for something to do at night, then you definitely will want to come to Decorate Your Room hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. Use your creative skills to create the perfect crafts for your room, whether you live on or off campus! You will not want to miss out! Also, a pair of tickets to the sold out A Boogie Concert will be given away at this event – even more reason to attend!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  September 25th  at 9:00 p.m.,  CPB and WRPR will be hosting an Open Mic Night in the new Padovano Commons! The Padovano Commons can be found by the Spirituality Center. At this special Open Mic Night, slam poet Anthony Febo will be showcasing his skills and helping the evening flow as master of ceremonies.
