Weekend Edition 3/8-3/10

Thursday, March 7th, come through to join the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall for Casino Night! At this event, you can enjoy fun casino games with your friends such as various card games and roulette! Make sure to bring your A-game! Food and cards will be provided!

 

Friday, March 8th,  join the College Programming Board and Commuter Affairs at 1:00 p.m. in J. Lee’s or a 2nd showing in H-Wing at 10:00 p.m. to watch Avengers Infinity War! Whether you are a Marvel fan or not, you won’t want to miss out on watching this epic movie!

 

On Saturday, March 9th, show your support for the Women’s Lacrosse team at their game against Mt. St. Vincent on the turf! If you’re looking for more to do later, then come to Fro-yo & Yo-yo’s with the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge. If you love fro-yo, and you love yo-yos, then this is the event for you! Join the College Programming Board for a tasty treat, while showing off your yo-yo-ing skills (or lack thereof) to all of your friends!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  March 12th, come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night at 9:00 p.m. hosted by the College Programming Board and co-sponsored by WRPR for a fun night filled with live music! All are welcome to perform or watch!

Weekend Edition 3/1-3/3

Thursday, February 28th, if you want to chill with your friends while enjoying some delicious pancakes, then join the College Programming Board for Pancake Palooza at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge. At this event, you can create your own pancakes using chocolate chips, syrup, whipped cream and more!

 

Friday, March 1st, join the College Programming Board for Grocery Store Bingo at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall for the chance to win some HUGE prizes! The prizes will include various themed baskets filled with items that you can get from a grocery store! You won’t want to miss out!

 

On Saturday, March 2nd, start off your day by showing your Ramapride at the Women’s Lacrosse game against Regis College on the Turf at 1:00 p.m. Later, come to Kahoot! with the College Programming Board in the H-wing Auditorium at 10:00 p.m. for some friendly competition with your friends for the chance to win some great prizes! Make sure to bring your game face!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  March 5th, if you’re looking for a fun night filled with laughs, then you won’t want to miss out on this event! Bring your friends to watch the comedic performance of Renee Santos, who is most well known for her “hip and hilarious” humor. Santos is most well known for her performances at the Comedy Store, the Laugh Club, and the Hollywood Improv. Santos was also a finalist Las Vegas’s only comedy competition, “The World Series Comedy”. Check out this link for a preview of her performances.

Weekend Edition 2/22-2/24

Thursday, February 21st, join Ramapo E-Sports, Smash Bros and Alpha Sigma Phi for an After Dark: Gaming/Game Truck Extravaganza at 10:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center Game Room! There will be two tournaments for prizes, a Super Smash Bros tournament, and a Mario Kart Tournament. If competing is not your forte, then there are plenty of side activities for you to enjoy as well. Video game themed board games will be run by FASA and a Gaming Truck will come at 11:00 pm for plenty of arcade fun! As always, free food and drinks will be provided. Sign up for the Ultimate Smash Bros tournament at this link, and sign up for the Mario Kart Tournament at this link.

 

Friday, February 22nd, the College Programming Board is hosting the Taste of Mahwah at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! This popular event will feature samplings of food from local restaurants. Students will try the different samples and vote on their favorite restaurants. Lines form early for this event, so arrive early so you don’t miss this tasty night!

 

On Saturday, February 23rd, if you are interested in crafting and creating tie-dyed t-shirts, then join the College Programming Board for Tie-Dye Night at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! Bring your friends to this event, and get creative by making a fun tie-dyed item! Supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Weekend Edition 2/15-2/17

Thursday, February 14th, join the College Programming Board for dinner and a movie featuring A Star is Born, at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! This film featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper tells the story of a musician that helps an up and coming artist with her rising career. This iconic film was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for Best Song. You definitely will not want to miss out on this amazing movie night!

 

Friday, February 15th, if you’ve ever wanted to make your own stuffed animal, then make sure to stop by Friends Hall for Stuff-a-Plush hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m.! Supplies will be provided. All are welcome to attend! This event is very popular, and supplies are limited, please make sure you arrive early!

 

On Saturday, February 16th, join the College Programming Board for their take on the popular food show “Chopped” for Junk Food Chopped at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! CPB will provide food and materials for students to create the tastiest dish based on different themes and categories in a nail biting competition. You won’t want to miss out on this great event and some free junk food!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  February 19th, at 9:00 p.m., we are proud to host Beauty, a band based in Red Bank, NJ in Friends Hall. Check out this link for a preview of their music. Weekend Edition 2/8-2/10

Thursday, February 7th, come join the College Programming Board and Chorale at 10:00 p.m. in J.Lee’s for Karaoke Night to sing your heart out with your friends to all of your favorite songs! Food and beverages will be provided!

 

Friday, February 8th, start your evening off by showing your support for the Men’s Volleyball team at their game against Eastern Mennonite University at 7:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for more to do later, come to Movie Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. At this event, we will be watching Instant Family, a dramedy that tells the story of a couple, Ellie and Pete, and how they adopted three children nearly overnight. Bring your friends to watch this heartwarming movie!

 

On Saturday, February 9th, show your Ramapride at the Men’s Volleyball game against Southern Virginia University at 11:00 a.m. in the Bradley Center. After that, make sure to come to the Men’s Volleyball game against Alvernia University at 3:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, join the College Programming Board and the Black Student Union at 9:00 p.m. for Roller Skating in the Auxiliary Gym. Stay for however long you’d  like to enjoy some music, friends, and free food as well! Skates will be provided. All are welcome to attend!

Friday, February 1st, join the College Programming Board for Spongebob Day in Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m.! If Spongebob is your favorite cartoon, then feel free to come watch The Spongebob Movie with your friends!

On Saturday, February 2nd, start your day off by showing your support for your fellow Roadrunners at the Women’s Basketball game against The College of New Jersey at 1:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, at 3:00 p.m. come back to the Bradley Center to watch the Men’s Basketball game against The College of New Jersey. If you’re looking for more fun later, then come to Big Prize Bingo hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. Come through to play fun games of Bingo with your friends to have the chance to win some BIG prizes!

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  February 5th, at 9:00 p.m., come to the H-wing auditorium to watch the comedic performance of Mickey Housley. Housley is best known for his clean and witty humor. Weekend Edition 1/25-1/27

Thursday, January 24th, join the College Programming Board in the Alumni Lounges at 10:00 p.m. for Decorate Your Room. Start your semester off right by adding some color to your room! Whether your room is on-campus or off-campus feel free to come to this event to make your room the sanctuary it deserves to be!

 

Friday, January 25th, come to Fryday hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. If you are looking for a chill night in with your friends where you can enjoy some good food, CPB will be having a fry bar with many different options to satisfy all of your cravings!

 

On Saturday, January 26th, start your day off by showing support for your fellow Roadrunners at the Women’s Basketball game against Rowan University at 1:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later at 3:00 p..m. make sure to stick around for the Men’s Basketball game against Rowan University in the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for more to do, come to Painting and Mocktails hosted by the College Programming Board in the Pavilion at 10:00 p.m. At this event, we will be painting and creating fun crafts to decorate your room with while sipping delicious mocktails. You won’t want to miss out!

Weekend Edition 12/14-12/16

Thursday, December 13th, join the College Programming Board for a Spa Night in the Alumni Lounges at 10:00 p.m. If you are stressed about finals, then you will definitely want to come to this event to spend time relaxing with your friends! Treat yourself to a masseuse, a coffee bar, crafts and more!

 

On Saturday, December 15th, come to the biggest College Programming Board event of the semester, co-hosted by Alpha Phi Omega, the Winter Wonder Masquerade Semi-Formal! Join us for an evening of delicious food, dancing and more! Italian food and mocktails will be served along with Cinnabons for dessert. There will also be a DJ, a dance floor and a giant inflatable snow globe to take pictures inside as well! Tickets are on sale at Roadrunner Central for $5 each, and all proceeds will be donated to Strengthen Our Sisters. You will not want to miss out on the last CPB event of the semester!

 

That wraps up programming for the fall semester! However, if you’re looking for a place to hang and study during exams, the Padovano Commons is available to students 24 hours a day between Saturday, December 15th through Saturday, December 22nd.

Weekend Edition 12/7-12/9

Thursday, December 6th, come to Movie Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium. At this event, we will be watching Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin tells the story of a grown-up Christopher Robin as he reunites with his childhood friend Winnie-the-Pooh. You won’t want to miss out!

 

Friday, December 7th, if you’re looking for a fun night with friends come to Winter DIY hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. At this fun event, we will be creating some fun Do-It-Yourself Winter themed crafts for you to decorate your room with! Food and supplies will be provided!

 

On Saturday, December 8th, show your support for the Men and Women’s Swim teams at 2:00 p.m. at their meet against New Paltz in the Bradley Center. If you want to get into the holiday spirit, then come to the College Programming Board’s Gingerbread House event at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! Supplies will be provided!
