Finally, the Ramapo College community is coming together to support efforts to provide relief for those in need as a result of the April 25th earthquake in Nepal. The initial earthquake and aftershocks have claimed more than 4,400 lives and crippled Nepal’s infrastructure.

In addition to Ramapo’s strong history in uniting to support relief efforts, this cause is especially close to our community as 19 Nepalese students are currently part of our undergraduate student community. These students, with the support of faculty and staff, have chosen three organizations to be the recipients of all funds collected from the Ramapo community. These organizations are Mercy Corps (http://www.mercycorps.org), Oxfam (https://www.oxfam.org/), and
Dawanli Friendship Club (http://www.dawanli.org.np/index.php).
