Weekend Edition 12/13-12/15

Thursday, December 12th, join the College Programming Board for Stress Free in J.lee’s at 10:00 pm. At this event, we will be making hand made diffusers and taking part in some fun stress busters, so if you’re looking for something fun to do to take your mind off of finals, then this is the event for you!

 

Friday, December 13th, if the end of the semester has you anxious or in need of a break, then come to the relaxing Spa Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 pm in J. lee’s. At this event, there will be a massage therapist and other fun relaxing activities. You definitely will not want to miss out!

 

On Saturday, December 14th, in the evening, head to Friends Hall and join the College Programming Board at 9:00 p.m for the Winter Wonderland Semi Formal! This event is one of the biggest events of the semester, and will include an evening of food, dancing, and fun! All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s. Tickets are $5, and can be purchased at Roadrunner Central or at the door on Saturday. Italian food, Mocktails, and Cinnabon will be served!

 

That wraps up programming for the fall semester! However, if you’re looking for a place to hang and study during exams, the Padovano Commons is available to students 24 hours a day between Saturday, December 14th through Saturday, December 21st.

Weekend Edition 12/6-12/8

Friday, December 6th, join the College Programming Board for Minute to Win It at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. This event will be a fun night of completing one minute challenges for the chance to win a great prize! We hope to see you there!

 

On Saturday, December 7th,  if you’re craving a tasty snack, then the College Programming Board has the perfect event for you! You won’t want to miss out on Ice Cream and Waffles at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. Join CPB for some free ice cream and waffles. Bring your friends!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  December 10th at 9:00 p.m., come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night hosted by the College Programming Board for a fun night filled with live music! This will be the last Open Mic Night of the semester, so you definitely will not want to miss out!

Weekend Edition 11/22-11/24

Thursday, November 21st, come to Friends Hall at 10:00 p.m. if you want to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal, then come to Friendsgiving hosted by the College Programming Board! We will be having turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and more! Questions? Email: cpb@ramapo.edu 

 

Friday, November 22nd, join the College Programming Board for the showing of Good Boys, a story about three 6th grade boys going on a hilarious adventure! The event will be taking place at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium. We hope to see you there!

 

On Saturday, November 23rd, make sure to come to the BIGGEST event of the semester! Join the College Programming Board and the Student Government Association in welcoming Rich the Kid in the Bradley Center! Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. If you bought your ticket, then come to the Bradley Center to watch Rich the Kid perform some of his biggest hits, including “Plug Walk”, “Splashin” and “New Freezer”. Doors open at 7pm so make sure to come early! No entry after 8:30 p.m. No lighters, backpacks, or vapes.

 

CPB will not be programming next week due to the Thanksgiving Break, but we will be back at it with a full week of events starting with a Tuesday Night Live: Danika Portz on December 3rd. The event begins at 9:00 p.m. in Friends Hall, and all are welcome to watch. We hope everyone has a great break! After break, we will be having a Waffles and Ice Cream event! Make sure to stay tuned!

Weekend Edition 11/15-11/17

Thursday, November 14th, join the College Programming Board and the United Asian Association for Roll With Us on Sushi Night at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! Have you ever wanted to roll your own sushi? Then come to this event!! UAA will be teaching will be teaching you how to make your own delicious sushi! Supplies and food will be provided!

 

Friday, November 15th, start your evening by showing your support for the Women’s Basketball team at the Roadrunner Tip Off Tournament against Bryn Athyn at 7:30 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, come to Pot a Plant hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. If you enjoy gardening, or just want to have a relaxing night with your friends, then this is the event for you! You’ll be able to take home your own potted plant!

 

On Saturday, November 16th, come to the Women’s Basketball Consolation Game at 12:00 p.m. and then the Women’s Basketball Championship Game at 2:00 p.m. to show your support for the team! For more excitement later, come to Junk Food Chopped hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. This event is a fun spin on the popular food show, “Chopped”! CPB will provide food and materials for students to create the tastiest dish based on different themes and categories in a nail biting competition. You won’t want to miss out on this great event and some free junk food!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  November 19th at 9:00 p.m., come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night hosted by the College Programming Board for a fun night filled with live music!

Weekend Edition 11/8-11/10

Thursday, November 7th, if you’re looking for a fun and relaxing time, come to Painting and Mocktails co-sponsored by College Programming Board and the Visual Arts Society in the Pavilion at 10:00 p.m. At this event, we will be painting and creating fun crafts to decorate your room with while sipping delicious mocktails. You won’t want to miss out!

 

Friday, November 8th, join the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall for Flashback Friday, where you can find yourself going back to the good old days! Come to this event to to sit back and watch your favorite cartoons from your childhood, while enjoying a cereal bar! 

 

On Saturday, November 9th, if you’ve ever wanted to make your own stuffed animal, then make sure to stop by Friends Hall for Stuff-a-Plush hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m.! Supplies will be provided. All are welcome to attend! This event is very popular, and supplies are limited, please make sure you arrive early!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  November 12th at 9:00 p.m., if you are interested in opening for Rich the Kid for the Fall Concert on November 23rd, then meet the College Programming Board in Friends Hall to showcase your talent! Weekend Edition 11/1-11/3

Thursday, October 31st, join the College Programming Board, Women’s Center and LGBTQ+ Services for the annual Gender Bender Dance and costume ball at 8:00 p.m. in Friends Hall! Gender Bender is a safe environment for people to express their gender identity, wear a Halloween costume, or simply dress however they feel comfortable. There will be activities such as temporary tattoos, photo booth, music, multiple giveaways, and a night of dancing! Food and drinks will be provided. Questions? Email qps@ramapo.edu

 

Friday, November 1st, start your Friday off by showing your support for the Women’s Soccer team at their game against the University of Maine at Fort Kent in the Athletic Center. After the game, make sure to come to Create your Own Vision Board hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. If you want to organize all of your goals and manifest positivity for the future, then this event is for you! Come to this event and bring friends to get creative with CPB! We hope to see you there!

 

On Saturday, November 2nd, come to the Women’s Volleyball Ramapo Tri-Match at 11:00 a.m. against the United States Merchant Academy and then against Lehman College at 1:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. Later, come to Trivia Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. Bring your friends to play trivia games for the chance to win some fun prizes!

 

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  November 5th at 9:00 p.m., come to Padovano Commons for Performances of the Decades, Apollo Night hosted by the College Programming Board and Ebony Women for Social Change. This event will be a fun spin on Open Mic Night, where we encourage you to come and perform with the theme of performances from various decades! All are welcome to watch or come and perform!

Weekend Edition 10/25-10/27

Thursday, October 24th, if you have ever wanted to use your logic skills to get out of a sticky situation then come to Escape the Room, hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. At this event, you will be locked in a themed room and then given puzzles to guide your escape. Make sure you bring a good team to ensure you will be able to escape the room!

 

Friday, October 25th, Join the College Programming Board and Association of Latinos Moving Ahead for a screening of the Disney movie Coco at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium! This movie shows the magical story of a young boy in Mexico named Miguel and his dreams of becoming a famous musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Bring your friends and check out this great movie!

 

On Saturday, October 26th, start your Saturday off by going to multiple sporting events! First, at come to the Women’s Volleyball against Brooklyn College game at 10:00 a.m. in the Bradley Center. Then, show your support for the Men’s Soccer against Rowan University at 1:00 p.m. on the turf. At 2:00 p.m., come to the Men and Women’s Swim meet against Drew University at the Bradley Center Pool. Then, at 3:30 p.m. come to the Field Hockey game against Stockton University on the Turf! If you’re looking for more to do, come to Killer Trivia hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. If you know a lot about  conspiracy theories, serial killers, and other spooky topics then come to this event with your friends for the chance to win prizes! We hope to see you there!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 29th at 9:00 p.m., come to Friends Hall to Tuesday Night Live featuring Kellyz Kellz! Kelly Kellz is most known for her vibrant stage presence that is mixed with her strong stage presence. She has performed on HBO’s All Def Digital Comedy and has opened for acts such as Mike Epps, Katt Williams and Anthony Anderson. Check out a preview of her performance at this link!

Weekend Edition 10/18-10/20

Thursday, October 17th, come to After Dark: Sportsfest in the Bradley Center at 10:00 p.m. hosted by the Student Government Association, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Ramapo After Dark for the first Oktoberfest event this semester! At this event there will be a DJ dance party, food, cornhole, kan jam, soccer, rock climbing, & more! You definitely will not want to miss out!

 

Friday, October 18th, start off your Friday night by coming to Fall Frenzy at 8:00 p.m. at the Laurel Courts hosted by the Student Government Association. At this event there will be a Zombie Stuff-a-Plush, games, spin art, a mechanical bull, a DJ, and more! There will also be the best of the “wurst” late night offered by Sodexo! If you’re looking for even more excitement and some scares, come to the Haunted Mansion at the Birch Mansion at 10:00 p.m. hosted by the Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society! We hope to see you there!

 

On Saturday, October 19th, come to the Women’s Soccer game against Rutgers-Camden in the Athletic Center. Also at 1:00 p.m., there is a Field Hockey game against Rowan University on the Turf! Later, come to Bingo hosted by the Student Government Association at 8:00 p.m. in Friends Hall. At this event, you will have the chance to win some BIG prizes like a Google Home, Apple AirPods, Broadway tickets, and more! After Bingo, there will be a showing of the cult classic film, Beetlejuice, which tells the story of a couple that haunts their old home, and attempt to scare away a family attempting to buy the house. You won’t want to miss out on this hilarious film!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night where Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 22nd at 9:00 p.m., come to the Padovano Commons to Open Mic Night hosted by the College Programming Board and co-sponsored by WRPR for a fun night filled with live music! This week we will also be welcoming Jaylene Clark Owens. Jaylene is a spoken word poet from Philly! Check her out at this link. Open Mic Night will be held in the Padovano Commons next to the Kameron Pond. All are welcome to perform or watch!

Weekend Edition 10/4-10/6

Thursday, October 3rd, join the College Programming Board and Young Life at 10:00 p.m. on the Laurel Courts for Po’ Down! At this event we will have free food, bull riding, country music, and other exciting activities! Bring yourself and some friends, if you’re looking for a good time!

 

Friday, October 4th, come to Laser Tag hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. on the Laurel Courts! The Laurel Courts are going to be transformed into a difficult obstacle course that will make this a fun but challenging night. You will not want to miss this thrilling event!

 

On Saturday, October 5th,  you can spend your day going to various sporting events! First, come to the Women’s Volleyball game against St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn at 11:00 a.m. in the Bradley Center. Then, you can come to the Men’s Tennis match against Bard College on the tennis courts at 1:00 p.m. Also at 1:00 p.m., you can come to the Women’s Tennis match against Bard College. There is also a Women’s Soccer game at 1:00 p.m. against Stockton University on the turf. If you’re looking for more to do later, then you can come to Game Night hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in J. lee’s. Come hang out and play some of your favorite board games and meet new people! We hope to see you there!

 

On Sunday, October 6th , Theta Phi Alpha and the Ramapo College Baseball Team are teaming up to host our Annual Home Run Derby: Strike Out Breast Cancer on the Baseball Field at Ramapo College at 1:00 p.m. This year we are dedicating our event in honor of Desiree Polakowski who lost her battle with breast cancer less than a year ago. The event will include teams participating in the Home Run Derby, food and drinks, breast cancer awareness information, games, music, and more! All proceeds will be donated to Sloan Kettering Memorial Center. To make a team please contact vincognitoba@gmail.com. Each team will be responsible for a $30 registration fee and consist of 5-6 players.

Weekend Edition 9/27-9/29

Thursday, September 26th, start your evening off by showing your support for the Women’s Volleyball team at their game against Rutgers-Newark at 7:00 p.m. in the Bradley Center. If you’re looking for more to do later, then you will definitely want to come to Trivia, Wings and Mocktails hosted by the College Programming Board at 10:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounges. If you’re looking for good food and a good time, then bring yourself and your friends for the chance to win some big prizes! 

 

Friday, September 27th, if you’re ready to get into the spooky season, then join the College Programming Board for a Movie Night featuring the film Us at 10:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium. This critically acclaimed movie featuring Lupita Nyongo is a thriller that has a People’s Choice Award and a MTV Movie Award. You definitely will not want to miss out on this movie!

 

On Saturday, September 28th,  come to the Men’s Tennis Roadrunner Invitational matches against FDU Florham and Drew University at 10:00 a.m. at the tennis courts. At 1:00 p.m., be sure to come to Men’s Soccer game against The College of New Jersey on the Athletic Center Turf. If you’re looking for more fun later, be sure to come to Silent Library hosted by the College Programming Board and Comedy Club at 10:00 p.m. in Linden Hall. If you have you ever wanted to recreate the popular TV show, Silent Library, then this is the event for you! At this event, you will be asked to complete silly tasks with your friends while trying your best not to laugh!

Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday,  October 1st at 9:00 p.m. in the H-wing Auditorium, we are welcoming Dave Temple  a comedian from Philadelphia, whose comedy is sure to bring you many laughs!
