Other auditions will be held on March 27th, March 30th, and March 31st also from 6 to 9 pm in the H-wing auditorium. Later that night, the College Programming Board and the Geocaching Club will be hosting an Egg Hunt and Dyeing event at 10 pm in Friends Hall! The egg hunt will take place around the academic buildings, and teams of up to 5 people can participate! There will also be basket decorating, and then egg dyeing at 11 pm. The winners will receive a big prize basket with gift cards, candy, and more! But there will be delicious treats for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss out!
Friday, March 27th, the Civic and Community Engagement Center will host their bi-weekly service trip to House on the Hill. House on a Hill is a day care center in Goshen, NY that works specifically with children from immigrant families. Volunteers will work with the children and help the teachers. Transportation is provided! If you plan to use your own transportation, please ensure that you arrive on-time, and please email ccec@ramapo.edu indicating that you intend to use your own transportation. Students should arrive at the Bradley Center bus stop at 8:15 AM and get back to Ramapo around 1:00 PM. Later, come support our Roadrunners at the Women’s Lacrosse game against Manhattanville College at 4 pm. After the game, join the College Programming Board and Disney Club for Day 1 of Disney Weekend! At 10 pm they will be hosting a Mad Hatter Tea Party in Friends Hall! Participants will have the opportunity to create their own tea cups and saucers, and tea time snacks will be served!
Saturday, March 28th at 9:30 am join the Civic and Community Engagement Center for their weekly service trip to Teaneck, NJ for tutoring! They will be focusing on subjects such as Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Arts & Crafts. No experience in tutoring is necessary. This project is great for students seeking CEC credit and for those in the process of receiving their teaching certification! That afternoon at 4 pm, the Men’s Volleyball team has a game against The Sage Colleges. Go Roadrunners! Later that night, Disney Weekend continues with the College Programming Board, Disney Club, and Global Roadrunners hosting an Epcot event at 10 pm in Friends Hall! Just like at the theme park, the event will be very much like a global food festival, featuring delicious cuisines from around the world for you to try!
But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday, March 31st Leighann Lord will be performing at Ramapo. Leighann is a comedian who has performed around the country and on television. Her routine is smart and engaging with topics including current events, politics, family, marriage and more. She has been seen on NBC, BBC, Comedy Central, and many other TV shows!
