Weekend Edition 3/22-3/25

Thursday, March 22nd, make sure to support the Men’s Baseball team at 3:30p.m. on the Jeff Maund Memorial Field in their game against Lehman College. After that, join the College Programming Board for Karaoke for a Kause in Friends Hall at 10:00p.m.! If you want to jam out to your favorite songs with your friends, this is the event for you! This event is co-sponsored by Relay for Life, so all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. There will be free snacks provided, and you will have the chance to win some amazing prizes! Whether you want to enjoy some free entertainment, or raise money for a good cause, make sure to stop by!

Friday, March 23rd, come to Athletic Center to show your support for the Men’s Tennis team at 3:30p.m. in their game against Hunter College. At 10:00p.m., the College Programing Board is hosting a Movie Night! The movie that will be screened is Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a movie from the epic Star Wars series that follows the story of Luke Skywalker and his encounter with Rey, a woman who wants to learn more about the Force. This movie was nominated for an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects. Even if you have never watched a Star Wars movie, but you are still interested in watching, you definitely should come to this event! All are welcome to attend!

On Saturday, March 24th, start your day by  showing your Ramapride at various sporting events! First, stop by 1:00p.m. and at 3:00p.m. to support the Softball team in the Athletic Center at their games against Oneonta. At 8:30p.m. don’t forget to stop by at the Men’s Volleyball game at the Athletic Center in their game against New York University. If you are still looking for more to do after all this excitement, come to Ramapo Gaming, hosted by the College Programming Board in Friends Hall at 10:00p.m. This event will be a chill night of playing games with your friends. The winners will have the chance to win HUGE prizes, so you will not want to miss out!

But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday, the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday, March 25th, head over to the H-wing Auditorium at 9:00p.m. for a comedic performance by Kristen Becker! Kristen Becker is most well known for combining her southern charm with her powerful personality and hilarious jokes! She is also best known for her performances at Stand-up Blast Off and was crowned Buffalo’s Queen of Comedy! You definitely will not want to miss this amazing performance!
