Weekend Edition 9/29-10/2

Thursday, September 29th join the College Programming Board at 10pm in Friends Hall for a special edition Thursday Night Live featuring Connecticut alternative/emo band A Will Away. Hot off Chicago’s Riot Fest, with exponential songwriting and massive hooks, A Will Away have managed to make an impact on the scene like few other artists! Calling to the likes of Transit, Balance and Composure, and many other Emo contemporaries, the band has managed to cement their own place in the ever-growing Emo/Alternative Revival. This is a show you will not want to miss!  Check out their latest EP, “Bliss” out on Triple Crown Records, here: https://awillaway.bandcamp.com/  This event will also feature student opener Ambary Lake.

Friday, September 30th support the Women’s Volleyball team at 5pm in the Bradley Center as they take on Brooklyn College. Later, head to H Wing Auditorium for the College Programming Board’s double movie screening event! At 9pm, they will be screening Finding Nemo and at 11pm they will be screening Finding Dory.

Saturday, October 1st  join the Civic and Community Engagement Center as they help Morris County’s Habitat for Humanity build homes for those in need. Transportation will be provided, the bus leaves at 8am from the Bradley Center. For more information and to sign up go the CCEC orgsync page. Cheer on the Women’s Volleyball team in their match against St. Joseph’s college at 11am in the Bradley Center. Afterwards, head to the athletics field to support the Men’s Soccer in their 1pm game against Rutgers-Camden. In the evening, join the College Programming Board at 9pm at Laurel Courts for a Rock Show! This show will feature performances from both student bands and local area bands.

Sunday, October 2nd  join the Civic and Community Engagement Center from  1pm to 4 pm in the MEVO Farm Clean Up. Students will assist the Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organization, engage in a cleanup initiative which provides invaluable service to the community at large. Transportation is provided. But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday, October 4th, head over to Linden Hall at 9pm for Open Mic Night! This event is co sponsored by Linden Hall and WRPR.
