Saturday, October 25th the Civic and Community Engagement Center will be hosting their weekly trip to Teaneck, NJ at 9:30 a.m. for tutoring! They will be focusing on subjects such as Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Arts & Crafts. No experience in tutoring is necessary. But the fun doesn’t end with the weekend! Every Tuesday the College Programming Board presents the Tuesday Night Live Series. Each week features either a live performance by a comedian, musical artist, slam poet, spoken word artist or magician or an open mic night during which Ramapo students have the opportunity to showcase their talent. This Tuesday, October 28th comedian Vladimir Caamano will be performing on campus. The son of a Dominican immigrant family, Vladimir was raised in the Bronx and Washington Heights, and began polishing his wit while attending Wesleyan University. Whether discussing his grandfather who fathered 47 kids, going to college without luggage, or calling a cab company run by latino spies, you will enjoy watching him weave a hilarious fabric of truth and absurdity in his stories. Vladimir is a regular at all the New York City Comedy clubs, and has been featured on Standup 360, ComedyTime and SiTV’s Comedy Quickies. He is also on the 2013 NBC Standup for Diversity College Tour. Don’t miss this hilarious performance that’s sure to keep you laughing! For a sneak peak at his act, click here.
