Scholars Day Application Submission

Student:

The on-line submission of the Application and Abstract are due on March 1, 2024.

Your Application, including an Abstract, must be approved by your faculty mentor/sponsor before submission. Upon completion of this on-line submission, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you do not receive any e-mail, immediately contact the Scholars Day committee member of your school. Each convening group will then choose the applicants who will be invited to submit Poster for the Scholars Day event.

Convener:

The top posters from each program will be considered for Scholars Day. The selection of posters will be competitive, based on the quality of the scholarly work.

The submission process starts with students submitting on-line Applications (due date: March 1, 2024). The Application form requires an Abstract (summary of the project with a maximum of 300 words) and approval of a faculty sponsor. Based on these Abstracts, each convening group will select the top applicants to be invited to present a poster. Convening groups will submit their choice(s) to the Chair of the Scholars Day Committee. By March 8, 2024, students will be notified of their provisional acceptance and invited to submit their poster presentation. Students must then prepare their poster and submit it by March 28, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.

In addition to poster presentations, Scholars Day will also include oral presentations, with each school having one student giving a talk. Convenors will select up to two top two posters from those received by the deadline, and submit their choice to the Dean. Deans will select the best poster to represent their Unit for the oral presentation. The notification of selection of oral presenters will be April 4, 2024.
