About Digital Accessibility

What is Digital Accessibility?

Digital accessibility means making digital content that everyone can use. This includes people with visual, hearing, physical, or mental disabilities. The goal of digital accessibility is to create a more inclusive online world by developing websites, applications, and content that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users. By removing barriers to ensure equal access and understanding of information and services, through clearer design and features like captions or text-to-speech, we all benefit.

Our Commitment

Ramapo College is committed to providing accessible digital experiences for all users, including individuals with disabilities. This commitment reflects our values of inclusion and ensures compliance with federal requirements such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 508). We continue to strengthen the accessibility of our websites and digital content through ongoing improvements and campus training. These efforts advance our broader mission to foster an inclusive environment where students, faculty, and staff can fully engage, succeed, and participate in all aspects of campus life.
