Reporting Options
Students are strongly urged to report sexual misconduct (including sexual assault, rape, sexual harassment, stalking, dating violence, domestic violence, or sexual exploitation) to College authorities and to the police in order to protect themselves and others.

Support For Victims / Survivors
Support is always available for survivors of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.
If you or someone you know is a survivor it’s important to know there are many options for crisis response, support, medical treatment, advocacy, and reporting. Confidential resources allow you to explore your options without making a report to the College. Confidential, survivor-centered help is always available.

Local Resources
YWCA Healing Space
HealingSPACE provides confidential information, support, and victim services. They have trained advocates that provide counseling and medical and legal accompaniments to survivors. HealingSPACE also offers support groups, volunteer training, and educational programs for schools and businesses, as well as sponsors activities to raise community awareness about sexual violence.

Alternatives to Domestic Violence
Bergen County’s Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) provides critical non-residential support services to Bergen County residents impacted by domestic violence in their relationships, including prevention education, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, trauma-informed counseling programs, and coordinated community responses to violence.

Founded in 2004 to address domestic violence issues in the Muslim community, Wafa House has evolved from crisis referral and intervention to now providing a wide array of holistic recovery services for survivors in need.

NJ Coalition Against Sexual Assault
The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) is the statewide advocacy and capacity-building organization that represents New Jersey’s 21 county-based sexual violence programs and the Rutgers University – New Brunswick Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance. In addition to our county-based programs, we also have in our membership a cohort of eight culturally specific programs. Culturally specific services are created by and for specific cultural communities and provide support with an emphasis on the experiences and needs of survivors in such communities and with recognition of the cultural complexities and layered identities of every individual

RAINN: Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and operator of the National Sexual Assault Hotline, RAINN’s mission is to stop sexual violence by supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and creating safer communities.
